Fresko 78 explores balance and suspension, with clusters of figures orbiting one another inside softly rendered cloud formations. Kuntze’s use of gradient backgrounds establishes a luminous spatial field, while thicker applications of paint introduce contrast and tactility. The figures remain intentionally ambiguous, encouraging the viewer’s imagination to complete the scene. This work highlights the artist’s precision and his dialogue between abstraction and classical fresco traditions.
