Everywhere I by Christina Gschwantner is composed of grouped clusters of energetic, overlapping brushstrokes, each section defined by a distinct color range and density of mark-making. Arranged in horizontal bands, the composition moves from warm neutrals and high-chroma reds into violets and pinks, before transitioning into cooler blues, greens, and muted greys. Each cluster is built through repeated, rapid strokes that vary in pressure and opacity, producing layered surfaces where underlying tones remain partially visible.
The work emphasizes accumulation and variation, with each grouping functioning as an independent study of color interaction while contributing to the overall rhythm of the composition. The open white ground provides visual spacing between clusters, allowing the intensity of each color field to stand on its own. Everywhere I reflects Gschwantner’s process-driven approach, where repetition, gesture, and color relationships define the structure, offering collectors a dynamic example of controlled yet expressive abstraction.
