Dylan Martinez's "Anemoi" is a contemporary glass sculpture from his Optical Series, exploring the relationship between light, transparency, and geometric form. Constructed from an intricate arrangement of clear glass cylinders, the sculpture features four directional facets that refract and redirect light through its layered composition. The title references the "Anemoi", the Greek gods of the four directional winds, reflected in the sculpture's multidirectional design. As light passes through the glass, overlapping reflections, distorted imagery, and subtle prismatic effects create a constantly shifting visual experience. "Anemoi" demonstrates Martinez's ability to transform precise geometric arrangements into dynamic optical sculptures that change with the viewer's perspective.
