Damien Hirst’s Spot print editions are among his most iconic and widely recognized bodies of work, forming a major pillar of his art practice. These prints are part of his broader Pharmaceutical Paintings series (often referred to as the Spot Paintings), which began in the 1980s and has since evolved into hundreds of unique compositions. Each print consists of rows of uniformly sized, colored spots arranged in a grid on a white background. The colors are carefully selected to avoid repetition within a single print, giving each work a vibrant, controlled randomness. The prints are then titled after chemical compounds or pharmaceuticals, reinforcing the connection to medicine and scientific order.

Hirst’s Spot print editions are among the most traded and collected works in the contemporary print market. Their clean design, brand-like recognizability, and range of editions make them appealing to both new collectors and seasoned investors.
