These works appearing as though suspended within the frame, become relics of art history—icons that hover between the past and an uncertain present. The use of fragmented marble contrasts the permanence typically associated with the material over against its broken state and subtly calls us to do the same with the old masterworks. The fragmented pieces, rather than erasing meaning, invite new interpretations, echoing the way historical narratives and myths are continuously reshaped. The dark backdrop erases spatial reference, amplifying the illusion of these fragments existing in a void—untethered, yet undeniably present.
