This past Friday Square One Gallery opened it's doors to welcome guests to experience Hedy Yang's solo exhibition "Of Moments & Memories", and Cevin Parker's solo exhibition "Behind A Dream".
Of Moments and Memories brings together Yang’s atmospheric vessels and sculptural wall works, each piece capturing the emotional register of a particular place in time. Vases painted with shifting clouds, lightning, and gradients of sunrise and dusk speak to the changing states of the natural world. They reference the sky as both a familiar presence and a metaphor for memory. Her faceted wall pieces, shaped like gemstones or raindrops, refract these same skies into intimate scale, turning passing impressions into objects that feel tender, precious, and contemplative.
Behind A Dream, brings together his Dreamland series, a body of work shaped by the subtle architecture of dreams. These paintings unfold across pastel horizons and weightless spaces, where ribbons of acrylic appear to float, twist, or dissolve. The backgrounds, created through layered spray paint, hold a quiet glow that anchors the energetic movements above them. Within this tension, Parker captures the shifting emotional terrain of the subconscious. Bright pinks and blues recall moments of clarity. Deep reds surface as traces of unrest. Soft greens and yellows breathe warmth into the imagined landscapes. Each gesture records a feeling or memory as it rises, breaks, or transforms.
Thank you to all the guests and collectors who attened and enjoyed the evening with us. Both exhibitions will be on view at Square One Gallery through February 6th, 2026
